5 Sites That Instantly Elevate Your YouTube Channel
*The Real Tools that Professional Video Editors Use*
1. Notion.so
Notion is a business and organization app that organizes ALL my video ideas, links to published content, and anything else I can dream of documenting for my business. It’s been a complete game-changer for the pre-production phase of a YouTube video, and houses my Creative Content Calendar that tells me exactly what videos when live and when. I can’t recommend Notion enough if you crave an aesthetic way to organize your channel!
2. Artlist.io
Every YouTube channel needs background music…but like GOOD background music (that is copyright free). I have been using Artlist for myself and my clients for years and it is the best service I’ve found for unlimited music of any genre you can think of. I also get all my sound effects and anything else I need for sound design from Artlist. It’s the most affordable option I’ve found for background music that is truly copyright free on any social media platform so you don’t have to worry about getting flagged ever again!
3. Artgrid.io
Another way to elevate your edits is to use b-roll that looks professional but doesn’t look like generic b-roll. Artgrid provides the most artistic and cinematic b-roll out there, and again, it’s unlimited downloads for any scenario you can think of. Looking for waterfalls? Or a person filming? Or someone doing yoga? Artgrid has it all and it’s affordable, just like it’s sister site Artlist! These tools have been invaluable for me and my clients.
4. Canva.com
YouTube isn’t just video! It’s all the graphics that come along with it. I create all my thumbnails on Canva because it has the most intuitive editor and because you can choose from a huge selection of templates that help spur your creativity. They have amazing custom fonts, a very accurate background eraser so you can isolate anything you want in a picture, and even create YouTube intros using their animator. It’s truly amazing what Canva can do and I recommend it to every creative!
5. PixelFilmStudios.com
Visual effects take your videos to another level, and if you work in Final Cut Pro, this website has everything you can dream of in terms of drag-and-drop plugins for visual effects. Even buying ONE plugin pack can make a HUGE difference for your brand because each pack comes with so much. I have been using Pixel Film Studios for 7 years and I have close to 50 plug-in packs, which help me create animations and graphics, text effects and transitions for clients and for myself. It’s the best visual effects site out there IMO!
