“An object in motion stays in motion.” — Sir Isaac Newton

This principle isn’t just physics — it’s my writing mantra.

I write weekly to harness the momentum of creativity.

While the discipline to write is one thing, deciding what to write next is its own unique puzzle.

How do I keep the momentum going topic after topic? Here are the strategies that have guided me, and will guide you, too:

1. Time Away for Clarity 🌅

If I hit a wall (and I frequently do) I find the most helpful thing to do is take a step back.

Taking a few days away from writing not only provides a break but also allows new experiences and insights to seep in.

Just as life unfolds with its unexpected twists and turns, so do the best topics for my next article. When you don’t know what to write next, trust the process and let life lead the way.

Keep a notebook or app close by to write down ideas as they come to you!

Pro tip: If you write on a weekly schedule (I post articles every Wednesday), write a few weeks ahead…
