1. Laptop Backpack:

This backpack holds my giant 15' MacBook Pro! Yes, the laptop is huge, but I need a larger screen for video editing, and I can never find backpacks that hold a laptop that large…until now! This one has like 300 compartments and holds my entire business in one carry-on bag.👌

2. SD Card Reader:

Anyone with a newer MacBook can tell you: there is no place to put an SD card if you need to transfer footage from your camera or drone to the computer. This one is very cute and works perfectly!

3. External Hard Drive:

Most YouTubers and content creators use a hard drive to save past projects on, or to speed up your workflow and take pressure off of your computer’s built-in hard drive. LaCie is the most trustworthy (& popular) brand and I store all my client’s edits on this when I travel. It’s never failed me! The only thing I wish is that they sold a pink version. Lol.

4. Foldable Ring Light:

I’ve mentioned this before but it’s worth mentioning again. You can fold ring light up and easily put it in your luggage, it’s height adjustable, and has many different brightness levels and colors from warm to white. I use this to film at home AND on the road!

5. Laptop Ring Light:

Now this mini-ring light is perfect for vlogging on your phone, or attaching to your laptop if you have Zoom meetings and need some light. It’s super compact and even fits in your purse. For the price, it’s worth it since it’s under $10!

6. Mirrored Vanity Light:

This light serves dual purposes while traveling. You can do your makeup with it, and also use it as a light source for filming! The best part is its rechargeable (no batteries) and is VERY bright with adjustable brightness and color settings. I can’t say enough great things about this light for traveling, makeup, and filming!

7. Vlogging Camera:

This vlogging camera reigns supreme because of two things: the flip-up viewfinder and the smooth auto-focus. In the YouTube creator community it’s one of the most popular vlogging cameras, and I’ve had mine for 5+ years and it still works perfectly. Highly recommend!

8. Mirrored Phone Case:

If you don’t want to splurge on a vlogging camera, just use your front-facing camera on your phone and search for a mirrored phone case to act as your viewfinder! Not only does it bounce light off your face in a pretty way, you can see yourself and if you’re in frame and it’s perfect for touchups! Here is the one I got for my phone’s model but they sell them for any type of phone.

9. Drone:

Now this one is for if you’re trying to get shots of your trip from an aerial view, and having drone footage in your edits can really take them to the next level. I’ve tried large drones (the DJI Inspire), small drones (the DJI Phantom), and the reason the DJI Mavic 2 Air is the holy-grail drone in my opinion is it’s ability to capture 4K in AND record in up to 240 frames per second, which allows you a super crisp image that you can slow down to be super slo-mo..and it’s so compact you can throw it in your pink backpack!

10. Affordable Blue Blockers:

If you’re going to be editing videos while traveling, you’ll want to pack some blue blockers that are high-quality (so your eyes can stay fresh), but also ones that you don’t have to baby and worry about getting scuffed during travel.

That’s it! Let me know if you have any of these things, how you like them, or if there’s something you’d add to the list.

Happy traveling! ✈️
